UTILITY HIGH LOAD FACTOR INCENTIVES
In many states utility compaies offer incentives for new customers
or expanding customers that have a high load factor profile.
Below are examples of those rates:
| AL | Alabama Power | Transmission or distribution Primary customer =>3,000 KW 90% Load Factor negotiable rate =>27,000 KW 10-year term. |
| AR | Entergy | Commercial and industrial =>2,500 KW 80% load factor 75% power factor 5-year term. |
| FL | Florida Power & Light | Customers =>20 KW demand 1-year term reduced KW and kWh charges. |
| GA | Georgia Power | Reduction on KW and kWh charges negotiated term. |
| IA | Alliant Energy | Transmission customers only 50% discount 1-year minimum term. |
| IA | Alliant Energy - Interstate Power & Light | Primary customer 2.5% and $0.22 per KW demand reduction. |
| IN | Duke Energy | Customer adjacent to transmission or distribution lines taking primary service =>25KW. |
| IN | Nipsco | Facilities adjacent to existing infrastructure, contract =>10,000 KW 5-year term. |
| KA | Westar Energy | NOTE: HLF now LGS Reduced service charge and reduction on KW and kWh charges negotiated term. |
| LA | Entergy | Customers taking service from 115,000V Transmission Line or Greater reduced KW and kWh charges. |
| LA | SLECA | Must have =>60% load factor =>1,000 KW Reduced KW and kWh charges negotiated term. |
| MD | Potomac Edison - First Energy | Freeze base distribution rates through May 31, 2019 Ohio communities, colleges and universities, small businesses or low-income customers 3-year term. |
| MN | Alliant Power - Interstate Power & Light | Transmission customers only 50% discount 1-year minimum term. |
| MS | Entergy | KW Demand and kWh reduction =>1,000 KW 5-year term minimum. |
| NY | NYSEG & RG&E | Commercial and industrial customers =>500 KW 90% load and power factors reduced KW and kWh charges. |
| OH | American Electric Power (AEP) | Customers =>100 KW 1-year term minimum =>1,000 KW 2-year term minimum contact reduced KW and kWh charges. |
| OH | Ohio Edsion - First Energy | Ohio only businesses with => 30 facilities majority refrigeration load =>1.5M kWh annually, load factor =<70% expires May 31, 2024. 5-Year Term. |
| OH | The Illuminating Company -First Energy | Ohio only businesses with => 30 facilities majority refrigeration load =>1.5M kWh annually, load factor =<70% expires May 31, 2024. 5-Year Term. |

| VA | A&N Cooperative | Reduced KW and kWh charges 5-year term 60% load factor 80% power factor. |
| WI | Madison Gas & Electric | Commercial and industrial =>1,000 kW 60% load factor reduced KW and kWh charges. |
| WI | Alliant Energy | Primary customer 2.5% and $0.22 per KW demand reduced charges. |
